CHEAT MEAL
So next year I will begin my freshman year of college! High school has flown by so fast. But before I get there I need to be "Kat" material. I'm still on track of losing weight. I've lost about ten in the past month. I only have 10-15 more to-go. Today is my last cheat day before my 15 day liquid fast!
Sooo since this is my cheat day heres my recipes!
On the menu is T-bone steaks, My Baked Taters, and salad. I know nothing fancy--but it's amazing! Especially the potatoes!
So here's what you'll need:
1 T-Bone Steak
Dale's Steak Sauce/Seasoning
Seasoned Meat Tenderizer
Freezer Bag
Red Potatoes
Stick of Butter
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Shredded Mozzarella
Shredded Mild Cheddar
Bacon Bits (Real Kind-cured)
Baking Pan
Tin Foil (easier clean up)
Toaster Oven
Grill(George Foreman works FINE!)
Spinach
Croutons
Salad Dressing
Cheese
Okay the FIRST thing you need to do is prep your steak! If you didn't get an expensive steak or top-shelf I recommend tenderizing it! You can beat it with really anything and sprinkle the meat tenderizer on both sides then RUB IN! Next drop it down in the ziploc bag! Pour just enough Dale's to cover the steaks when the bag is laying flat! Put in fridge until your ready to cook dinner. I usually put mine in the fridge around noon.
Now onto the potatoes. Wash them super good! The best part about this side dish is you do not have to peel the potatoes unless you just want to! Slice them into circles about a 1/4 inch thick or slimmer. Put in a baking sheet covered with tin foil. Do one layer. Now that you have one layer sprinkle a tiny bit of onion and garlic powder. Cut off half of the butter. Slice into little slivers and put a piece on each potato slice. Now cover with cheddar cheese. Sprinkle with onion and garlic powder. Now repeat those steps with the next couple layers of potatoes. Cook on 40O degrees F for about 30 minutes or until tender. Oh I almost forgot! Add bacon bits between the layers but not on top. You add those when they are done.
I hope I don't have to tell ya'll how to make a salad....
Now go cook your steaks! I always eat mine rare or medium rare. I just feel like anything over cooked where there is no pink, might as well be covered in ketchup and ate on bread. A TOTAL waste of a steak. There's really no time. Once the grill is hot I sear mine on both sides until it has lovely grill marks and brown on the outside. THEN I FEAST! Don't forget the SWEET TEA!! Ya'll enjoy!
